Gauteng Housing MEC launches housing projects 30 August 2004 MEC for Housing in Gauteng , Ms Nomvula Mokonyane will tomorrow (31 August) launch the Impumelelo Ext 2 housing project in Devon . This will follow the MEC site visits to various housing projects such as the People's Housing Project in Kanana, New Village , the Greenfield Project in Emfuleni and the Mamello Informal Settlement in Midvaal. MEC Mokonyane will also honour women who have made meaningful contribution to housing delivery the area. This is part of the province's Women's Month programme. The event will take place tomorrow, 31 August 2004, Impumelelo Community Hall, Devon , Springs, 17:00. The MEC will also be meeting the Sedibeng District Mayoral leadership team. The meeting will focus on housing development issues in the area and also assess the progress on the work done so far. The Mayoral leadership team will be represented by Executive Mayor of Sedibeng Peter Sikhosana, Lesedi Mayor Busi Modisakeng, Emfuleni Mayor Jonny Thabane and Midvaal Mayor Martinus Wagner. This will be followed by a briefing by four members of Mayoral Committee, four municipal managers, four housing heads of department and community leaders on housing matters in the area.
