Customer Support Centre (CSC)

The Department of Housing subscribes to the eight Batho Pele Principles, as well as being the first point of contact for housing and accommodation related issues through the Customer Support Centre. Therefore, the department's Customer Support Centre serves as a point of reference for all Gauteng housing customers

Vision of the CSC

To be a world class Customer Support Centre striving for the sustainable development of the people of Gauteng through the provision of informed information relating to housing related issues.

Mission of the CSC

To build stakeholder relations through the provision of quality service to departmental customers through the CSC.

Customer Feedback Mechanism

Customer Feedback Boxes and Forms are available at CSC offices for input on service standards.

Customer Support Centre Sections    

Front Desk

The front desk deals with all walk - in enquiries, including:

  • information on housing issues
  • new applications
  • checking of status of subsidy and all other applications
  • waiting list applicants
  • other housing related problems.

Information Processing Unit

The information processing unit deals with the following housing related queries:

  • letters sent to the Customer Support Centre
  • unresolved queries from the Front Desk and Call Centre
  • queries that need to be processed
  • other housing related problems.

Call Centre

The call centre deals with all calls relating to housing queries including:

  • information on housing related issues
  • checking of status on applications
  • deal with waiting list applicants
  • check status of subsidy applications
  • other housing related problems.
