Gauteng Rental Housing TribunalBackground The Gauteng Rental Housing Tribunal was established by the Rental Housing Act of 50 of 1999. The Tribunal is a quasi-judicial body, which serves a regulatory function. In that, it sets out guidelines which have to be followed when parties enter into a rental agreement. The Tribunal aims to promote stability in the rental housing sector by resolving disputes that may arise between landlords and tenants as result of the commission of unfair practices. |
